Wade J. Smith, 55, of Vero Beach, Florida, died Sunday, July 25, 2010 at Indian River Medical Center after a brief illness.

He was born September 3, 1954 in Buffalo, New York and had been a resident of Vero Beach for 40 years, coming from Hanes City, FL.

Wade worked in the construction business as a finish carpenter.

He was a member of the Eagles and American Legion of Vero Beach.

He is survived by his wife; Jacqueline Smith; daughters, Jessica Smith of Vero Beach and Erin Goranson of Apopka, Fl; mother and step-father, Audrey and Herbert Childs of Wauchula, Fl; sister, Leslie Lambert of Wauchula, Fl and 1 grandchild.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
