Marian Connelly Hamilton, 86, of Vero Beach, FL died Friday, July 23, 2010 at her home.
Mrs. Hamilton was born February 28, 1924 in Underhill Center, VT and moved to Vero Beach 28 years ago from Rockville, MD having previously resided in Schenectady, NY, Roanoke, VA and Phoenix, AZ.
She was employed by the Boston and Maine Railroad in the early 1940's and General Electric Company for most of her career. Mrs. Hamilton volunteered helping numerous people and organizations: tutoring children, visiting the elderly, delivering food to those in need, the local soup kitchen and the American Cancer Society. She loved gardening and roses and was a member of the Rose Society.
Survivors include her sons Kent Hamilton of Boca Raton, FL and Keith Hamilton of Jefferson, MD, daughter Kathryn Gavin of Vero Beach, and three grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband Robert W. Hamilton.
Services: The family will be celebrating Marian’s life in her home on Saturday, July 31, 2010 from 1-3 PM. Interment will be in Underhill Center, VT
